Mr Damian Murphy
MBChB, BSc. (Hons), MD, FRCOG, Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon

Mr Murphy qualified from Leeds University Medical School in 1983 and completed his postgraduate training in the Manchester region including three years at the internationally renowned Christie Hospital and a year at The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, training in Gynaecological Oncology.
Over the last 15 years he has developed a major interest in laparoscopic surgery organising training courses for medical and nursing staff in the laparoscopic management of endometriosis and pelvic floor repair. He has also acted as a mentor for consultants in a number of regional centres helping to develop their laparoscopic skills. He is, at present, the clinical lead for gynaecological oncology at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust. Mr Murphy is also a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, a trainer in gynaecological oncology and member of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.
